Census Bureau: 80% of people in El Dorado County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 190,568 citizens living in El Dorado County in 2021, 80% were old enough to vote, equating to 152,500 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 75,854 were male, constituting 49.7%, and 76,646 were female, making up 50.3%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in El Dorado County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 77.2%.
