On Friday, Jan. 31, former Ponderosa High School standout Brynn Escobar’s current college team, the Colorado Mesa Mavericks, won 3-1 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Midwestern State Mustangs.

The game took place at Scrap Yard Sports Complex. This was their first matchup against the Mustangs this season.

The Mavericks’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 1 at 11 a.m. at Scrap Yard Sports Complex against Angelo State Rams.
